Innings Closed - Volume 6

Volume 6 need a Southeastern flavour once more to clear out those that had begun to accumulate after much more research locally and Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells feature heavily. The two featured from this volume are Arthur Gillgan buried just inside the gate in the tranquil and picturesque St Mary the Virgin Church in Stopham, Sussex. This contrast sharply with that of Frederick Martin of Kent and England who is buried in the worst grave that I have so far found. It is in a bland cemetery that reeks of loneliness and is badly damaged and seemingly uncared for too.
